About
Photographer René Riis is Danish and has been living and working in Berlin since 2010.
In addition to his commercial work, he devotes himself to his personal projects: For the Natural History Museum in Copenhagen, Riis photographed exhibits of plants and animals from their evidence room for a book, and the images were also exhibited in the museum and as a separate exhibition. In Berlin, the Berliner with Danish roots was successful with the exhibition "Seven Deadly Sins": Award-winning still lifes of his interpretation of the Christian classification of vices. This is followed by "In your face", a collaboration with the Michelin-starred restaurant "Tulus Lotrek", which shows the star chef and his team in extraordinary portraits.
Recently completed his latest project “Conversations with my Other Me”. In a series of so-called multiphotographs, Riis explores the old technique and reinvents the multigraph as a series of imaginative and performative conversations.
This project can be seen in René Riis’ Book by the same name.
